The Freel Agency, Inc. is a full-service firm of professional private investigators serving attorneys and law firms, businesses and corporations as well as private individuals in and around San Jose and the Santa Clara County area of California.  With our extensive network of investigative professionals, many of our investigations and related services are available state-wide as well as nationwide.

The agency is owned and operated by an experienced investigator, Amanda Freel, who began working as a private investigator in 1997. After earning the required 6,000 hours to become a licensed private investigator, she successfully passed the exam in 2001 and formed The Freel Agency – CA PI License number 22490. In 2015, The Freel Agency incorporated and obtained a new license number, CA PI 29010.  The Freel Agency, Inc. has been licensed and insured in California since 2001.

Amanda Freel is a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators (CALI) and has remained a member in good standing of the organization since 2001.  In addition, she also served as the San Jose District Director from 2003-2006, Secretary-Treasurer from 2006-2009, and has held the Bylaws Committee Chair from 2017 to present.  Ms. Freel has also chaired the following CALI committees: Journal, Finance & Budget, Conference Review, and Merchandising.

Ms. Freel served as a mentor for the youth volunteers with the Santa Clara County Peer Court Program from 2017 to 2021.
